How to Get Through the Cave in Original Pokemon Red for GameBoy

In Pokmon Red Version, Digletts Cave is the only place where you can encounter the ground-type Pokmon Diglett and, more rarely, its evolution Dugtrio. Digletts Cave also serves as a convenient route between Pewter City and Vermilion City. Following the linear progression of the game, youll first come to Digletts Cave after you arrive in Vermilion City. Youll find it just to the east of the city and its your only route to return to Pewter City and obtain HM05: Flash.

Instructions

Enter Digletts Cave just to the east of Vermilion City. Go down the ladder.

Head north through Digletts Cave. The cave follows a zig-zag pattern, going left then up, left then up and so on. You wont encounter any obstacles or branching paths.

Use water- or grass-type Pokmon to defeat any Diglett or Dugtrio you encounter. Note they will typically be between levels 29 and 31. You must wear down their health significantly and use a number of Pok Balls if you wish to capture them, particularly the more powerful Dugtrio.

Go up the ladder at the end of the cave and exit through the door to the south. Go south to find a house where you can trade an Abra for a Mr. Modern games are not simply source of entertainment, somewhat these involve some ability to play and win.
