"The Sims 3" is a game where you create a family of Sims and move them into a house. The more money your Sims make, the bigger the house they can afford. You can cheat to make your Sims super-rich in no time, but some players enjoy facing the challenges of the game by creating a family with limited funds and making their Sims climb the ladder of affluence.

Find your Sim a job in the neighborhood by browsing available jobs on the computer or reading the newspaper. Alternatively, send your Sim to a Career Building in the neighborhood and get a job directly.
2Increase your Sim's job performance quickly by sending him to work in a good mood and increasing his skills related to his chosen profession.
3Take up hobbies that render extra income for your Sims, such as painting and writing novels. The more experienced your Sims are at these skills, the more money they make with each painting or novel they sell.
4Play the guitar for tips at the park or at the theatre. A Sim at level 10 guitar will earn a lot of money by playing the guitar for tips.
5Accumulate enough cash and invest your money in properties around the neighborhood. Your Sims can either become a partner and own a share of a community building in town or buy out the whole property. Every Monday they can collect the profits they earned from each of these buildings.
6Purchase a building either by using your computer or visiting the virtual building directly and clicking on "Become a Partner." Owning several properties will provide your Sims and their future generations with guaranteed wealth throughout their lifetime.
