"The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall" is a computer role-playing game developed by Bethesda. It was originally released in 1996. Bethesda later released the game as a free download on their website in 2009. The player creates a character and can travel freely around the game world while he completes the main story quests. The game features several codes that allow the player to cheat. A game file must be edited before cheat codes can be used.

Enabling Cheats

The Z.cfg file in the game folder for "The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall" must be edited before the player can use cheat codes in the game. This file can be opened with any text editor, such as Notepad. At the very end of the file, add "cheatmode 1" without the quotation marks. Save the file and start the game normally. The cheat codes for the game will now be active.

Gold

Gold is the unit of currency used in the game. You can give your character an extra 5,000 gold by pressing "Ctrl" + "F9." One thing to remember before using this code is that gold has a weight, so using this code can encumber you quite easily. You may want to wait until you are in a bank before using the code. You can then leave your extra gold at the bank and avoid encumbering your character.

Faster Walking Speed

Pressing "1" will cause your character to walk faster. This is useful since it saves some tedium for when you have to walk a long distance over an area with no enemies or places of interest. It is also useful because it makes running from enemies much easier.

Raise Skills

Skills in "The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall" determine how effective your character is at any action. This includes obvious ones, like weapon or magic skills causing you to become more powerful in combat--but even basic actions like your movement speed or how far you can jump are determined by skills. One of the most useful cheats in the game raises all of your skills by 1 percent each time it is used. The code to raise your skills is "+."

Raise Reputation

Your reputation in the game is a measure of how much each faction likes or dislikes your characters. It is possible to join some factions if you have a high enough reputation. In addition, some items and quests are only available if you have a high enough reputation. More modern games are not only base of entertainment, somewhat these will need some abilities to play and win. The computer generated opponents fight against the gamers and eliminating them is a big deal. The gaming companies provide games cheat parts to the players so that they may thrash the violent enemies. These cheats are basically the codes that are used for offering a slip to the computer so that the player could win the game. These allow the gamers in advancing to the next step by just pressing a few keys. Cheat codes are offered with all genres of games. Nevertheless, it is advised not to use them very often otherwise one can loose the pleasure after playing for sometime. These can be used when a software reasons issues in computer or freezes it. In some instances, the developers on their own present the codes so that the players could be introduced to the next levels of the game. Not every person will acknowledge that games cheat systems are the right things to be used while playing games. They think about cheating as a dreadful trait and consequently cheat codes should not be used. However, these turn into very helpful when the gamer is not receiving any clue how to go in advance while playing game. For illustration, one wants to jump up to other levels without finishing previous ones. The cheats turn into helpful in this scenario as the players do not get frustrated. It is possible to cheat and raise your reputation with every faction by pressing "-."

Invincibility

One of the cheat codes in "The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall" will render your character invincible to direct damage. It will not prevent drowning or diseases from indirectly killing the character. Pressing "Ctrl" + "F4" will turn on invincibility mode. Pressing it again will cause invincibility mode to turn off.
