How to Mod Armor in Fallout 3

Whether you feel like armors in Fallout 3 don't provide enough protection, cost too much to repair or if you're just tired of having to wait until the game is halfway over before you can use power armor, you can easily create your own Fallout 3 armor mods. All you need is the Garden of Eden Creation Kit, or GECK, a tool released by Bethesda Softworks for the modding community.

Instructions

Open the GECK.

Expand the File menu and select Data.

Double-click on Fallout3.esm in the TES Files box and press the OK button.

Expand the Items menu in the Object Window and select Armor.

Look for the armor you want to modify on the right side of the Objects Window or use the Filter to narrow the selection. Typing power in the filter box, for instance, narrows the selection of armors to only those armors that include the word power, such as the Brotherhood and Outcast power armors.

Double-click on the armor you want to modify and alter the properties you want to change.

You can increase the AR of an item in order to improve the resistance to damage that the armor gives you.

You can decrease the Weight of an armor to give yourself more room in your inventory to carry other items.

You can increase the Health of an armor to make it more durable, meaning it will require fewer repairs.

You can decrease the Value of an armor to lower the cost of its repairs. More modern games are not simply source of entertainment, alternatively these will need some skills to play and win. The computer created opponents fight against the gamers and defeating them is a big deal. The gaming companies offer games cheat systems to the players so that they might thrash the frightening enemies. These cheats are quite simply the codes that are used for giving a slip to the computer so that the player could win the game. These help the gamers in moving on to the next phase by just pressing a few keys. Cheat codes are available with all genres of games. However, it is advised not to use them very frequently usually one can loose the enjoyment just after playing for sometime. These can be used when a software causes issues in computer or freezes it. In some scenarios, the developers their selves offer the codes so that the players could be introduced to the next levels of the game. Not every person will agree that games cheat systems are the right things to be used while playing games. They look at cheating as a horrific trait and therefore cheat codes should not be used. However, these turn into very helpful when the gamer is not having any vision how to go ahead while playing game. For example, one wants to jump up to other grades without finishing previous ones. The cheats turn into useful in this scenario as the players do not get disappointed. Unfortunately, when you lower the value you will not be able to sell that armor for as many caps as normal.

You can experiment with the Object Effect property to give your armor different effects. The EnchPowerArmor entry, for instance, causes your armor to give you a two-point bonus to strength at the cost of a two-point penalty to agility.

You can uncheck the Power Armor box, located in the lower right corner, to wear power armors without first acquiring the Power Armor Training perk.

Press the OK button once you have finished modding your chosen armor.

Save your armor mod.

Use Fallout Mod Manager or the Fallout 3 Launcher to activate your mod.
