How to Get the Best Weapons in "Final Fantasy XII"

Role-playing video game "Final Fantasy XII" continues the "Final Fantasy" story of summoners, magical beast, magic spells and puzzles. The protagonist, Vaan, teams up with new friends, Balthier and Fran, to prevent a civil war that will destroy their world. "Final Fantasy XII" players can collect loot by stealing and by defeating enemies in the game. Players then sell loot to shopkeepers where it is converted into powerful weapons. Other powerful weapons are earned as rewards for defeating enemies, or are collected when difficult puzzles are completed.

Instructions

Collect three beast lord horns, three moon rings and four Sagittarius gems. Attack and defeat the Humbaba in the Moshporian Highwaste to obtain beast lord horns. Defeat Ash Wyrms in the same area to collect moon rings.

Equip the thief's cuffs to steal Sagittarius gems from the slime enemies in the Zertinan Caverns. Sell the items to the shopkeeper in the bazaar.

Collect at least 60,000 gil, or coins, to purchase the Sagittarius bow. Purchase the silver bow from the weapons seller in the bazaar. Enable the license to equip the bow in the license screen.

Get the best katana weapon available by accepting the hunt for Gilgamesh. Defeat Gilgamesh and return to the Clan house and talk to Montblanc. Receive the Masamune from Montblanc after defeating Gilgamesh.

Create a Masamune katana by selling items in the Bazaar. Collect two gemsteels, three orichalcums and two mallets. Get the Site 11 key from the man who fell from the sky in the Hunter's Camp.

Go to Lhusa Mines, Lasche Span and battle Bombshell. Steal from Bombshell until you get a mallet. Run away until you are two sections removed from Bombshell, heal your characters and return to steal again until you get another mallet. Defeat the Purobolos enemies in the Pharos to collect dropped mallets.

Find orichalcums in the Pharos on the First Ascent level. Defeat 10 Deidars and proceed to level 48. Steal from the Aeronite to get the orichalcum. Run away through two rooms and return to repeat the steal move to get more orichalcums.

Create the gemsteels by selling two Damascus steels, one scarletite and two hell-gate flames. Sell the two gemsteels, three orichalcums and two mallets to the weapons dealer in the Bazaar. Buy the Masamune for 350,000 gil or buy the Tournesol which is also available for purchase at the Bazaar after selling the items.

Collect four Aquarius gems by equipping the thief's cuffs and stealing from Treant in the Golmore jungle. Defeat the Dragon Lich in the Pharos Subterra level to collect corpse flies, and battle Dragon Liches until you collect three corpse flies.

Battle and defeat Mythril Golems in Giruvegan until you have collected three mythrils. Steal from the Mythril Golems while wearing the thief's cuffs to increase the odds of getting a mythril.

Go to the Bazaar and sell four Aquarius gems, three corpse flies and three mythrils to the weapons seller. Purchase the Whale Whisker from him.

Defeat Thunderbugs in the Henne Mines to collect charged gizzards. Equip the thief's cuffs and try stealing a charged gizzard from a Thunderbug. Defeat Thunderbugs until you collect three charged gizzards.

Travel to the Zertinan Caverns and equip the thief cuffs. Steal from Buers in the Cavern until you collect four Scorpio gems. Continue through the Caverns until you encounter the Skullwyrm enemy. Defeat or steal three wyrm bones from the Skullwyrms.

Sell three charged gizzards, four Scorpio gems and three wyrm bones to the weapons seller in the Bazaar. Purchase the Scorpion Tail from him.

Purchase a diamond armlet for one character in your group. Equip the diamond armlet on the character.

Travel to Giruvegan. Touch Waystone VIII to be transported. Walk northeast to and open the Scorpio gate.

Go north to Waystone IX, and touch it to be transported to a path leading to Waystone XX. Touch the Waystone to be transported again.

Travel south and touch the Sagitarrius gate stone that leads back to Waystone XX. Travel east and open the Sagitarrius gate. Touch Waystone XII to be transported again.

Go southwest, then north, northeast and northeast again to reach a platform where the Great Crystal is located. Look around the area to find the treasure chest that holds the Excalibur sword. Open the chest with the character who has the diamond armlet equipped.
