"Grand Theft Auto" (more often called "GTA") is a cultural phenomenon. The game has garnered incredible amounts of press because of its perceived level of violence and adult themes. Up-to-date games are not only reference of entertainment, somewhat these will need some knowledge to play and win. The computer generated enemies fight against the players and eliminating them is a big deal. The gaming companies produce games cheat systems to the players so that they may thrash the frightening enemies. These cheats are generally the codes that are used for providing a slip to the computer so that the player could win the game. These facilitate the gamers in growing to the next phase by just pressing a few keys. Cheat codes are available with all types of games. Even so, it is advised not to use them very frequently otherwise one can loose the enjoyment after playing for sometime. These can be used when a software leads to concerns in computer or freezes it. In some conditions, the developers themselves provide the codes so that the players could be released to the next levels of the game. Not every person will acknowledge that games cheat systems are the right things to be used while playing games. They think about cheating as a nasty trait and as a result cheat codes should not be used. However, these become very helpful when the gamer is not having any idea how to go forward while playing game. For case, one wants to jump up to other grades without completing previous ones. The cheats turn into useful in this case as the players do not get annoyed. Its scathing portrayal of pop culture has also added to its rogue appeal. A number of cheats and "hacks" have added even more controversy to the mix. The "Audi cheat" is one of the few that is controversial only because of the debate of its existence.
The Claim
Not long after "GTA: Vice City" hit the shelves, a cheat was posted on GameFaqs that referenced an Audi Cheat. Many people debated the validity of the cheat, primarily because the GTA franchise has not used licensed car brands. However, various screen shots of the vehicle in the game made it hard to discredit. By April of 2010, forum users at Gamespot Forums had nixed the argument through various tests that proved it was a fake claim, even for the latest incarnation of the game.
The Car
Before the validity of the Audi car cheat had been "officially" resolved, a group of game enthusiasts had figured out how to insert the models of the Audi into the game through a process called "modding." A number of tool kits allow changing game content for many games, and "GTA" was no exception. It turns out despite the claims that the cheat was fake, there were people who actually could use the Audi in their game. This led to a number of "flame wars" between various factions who argued about what was actually in the game.
The Controversy
It's apropos that even a small issue could generate such controversy. The "Hot Coffee" mod had already garnered international press because of its "simulated sex act" within the GTA franchise, and the violent content had stirred several politicians into action at the possibility of banning the game outright. A war of raging posts between irate gamers might seem tame by comparison. The fact that such wars endured for several years is testament to the fanaticism of the game's users.
The Cheat
While there is no code-based cheat to add an Audi to "GTA," the point is moot. If you are willing to spend the time, you can modify your game to include the vehicle, as well as a library of content not included in the original game. The real question is "Is it worth my time?" For PC users, these mods are simple to install and require little more technical savvy than was required to install the game in the first place. For console users, the effort is considerable, and requires extensive tutorials.
