Take control of your favorite "Star Wars" universe starfighter in this flight and dogfight simulation game available for the Xbox and PlayStation 2. Chronologically, "Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter" takes place between the events of "Star Wars: Episode I" and "Star Wars: Episode II." The game has many levels, different ships to fly and other extra features that are unlocked through gameplay -- or by cheating with codes.

Unlock Everything

When you first start the game, you have limited access to levels, ship types and special features such as videos. Normally, you would have to play through the game multiple times to unlock these features. For full access to everything in the game, type "PNYRCADE" into the Codes menu for the PS2 version, or "LONGO" for the Xbox version.

Invincibility

Some people call it "God Mode," "Invincibility" or "Invulnerability," but it all means the same thing -- you will not take any damage to your ship no matter how many times you crash into things or get shot. To enable this code, type "QUENTIN" into the Codes menu for the PS2 version, or "ARTOO" for the Xbox version.

Mara Jade's Ship

Mara Jade, who fans of the expanded "Star Wars" universe know as a special agent to Emperor Palpatine, has a very powerful ship called the Z-95 Headhunter. The ship has homing missiles and very powerful lasers, giving you an edge for those tough missions. Type "HEADHUNT" into the Codes menu for the PS2 version, or "HUNTER" for the Xbox version to unlock this ship.

Reverse Controls

Reverse the X-axis and Y-axis on your controls for a different flying experience. Up-to-date games are not simple source of entertainment, instead these require some abilities to play and win. The computer produced enemies fight against the gamers and defeating them is a big deal. The gaming companies deliver games cheat systems to the players so that they might thrash the violent enemies. These cheats are generally the codes that are used for allowing a slip to the computer so that the player could win the game. These support the gamers in progressing to the next step by just pressing a few keys. Cheat codes are attainable with all kinds of games. Nevertheless, it is advised not to use them very frequently otherwise one can loose the enjoyment once playing for sometime. These can be used when a software will cause problems in computer or freezes it. In some instances, the developers themselves deliver the codes so that the players could be launched to the next stages of the game. Not every individual will recognize that games cheat systems are the right things to be used while playing games. They think about cheating as a nasty trait and therefore cheat codes should not be used. However, these turn into very helpful when the gamer is not having any hint how to go forward while playing game. For case, one wants to jump up to other stages without filling out previous ones. The cheats turn into valuable in this situation as the players do not get annoyed. Some players have an easier time playing flight-simulation games when the controls are reversed and some do not -- it's simply a matter of preference. See which control setup best suits you by typing "JARJAR" into the Codes menu. This works for both versions of the game.

Other Codes

"Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter" has additional codes that generally do not make the game any easier, but they do alter the game's appearance. For a more cinematic style of gameplay, try getting rid of your Heads-up Display (HUD) and enabling Fly-By Mode. The latter changes the camera angle to make the game look more like a movie. Type "NOHUD" for PS2 or "CONVISTA" for Xbox into the Codes menu to get rid of the HUD and type "DIRECTOR" for PS2 or "DARON" for Xbox to place the game in Fly-By Mode.
