How to Change Character Skills in

BioWare's RPG (Role-Playing Game) "Dragon Age: Origins" features a group of heroes undertaking quests in a dark-fantasy world. The game allows you to develop a variety of skills; extra talents that can make battles and journeys easier, such as building traps or concocting poisons. The latest games are not just source of entertainment, somewhat these involve some ability to play and win. The computer produced enemies fight against the players and defeating them is a big deal. The gaming companies provide games cheat methods to the players so that they might thrash the frightening enemies. These cheats are quite simply the codes that are used for allowing a slip to the computer so that the player could win the game. These help the gamers in advancing to the next step by just pressing a few keys. Cheat codes are accessible with all kinds of games. Nonetheless, it is advised not to use them very often or else one can loose the enjoyment after playing for sometime. These can be used when a software reasons troubles in computer or freezes it. In some situations, the developers their selves provide the codes so that the players could be unveiled to the next grades of the game. Not every individual will agree that games cheat methods are the right things to be used while playing games. They think about cheating as a horrific trait and therefore cheat codes should not be used. However, these turn into very helpful when the gamer is not becoming any idea how to go forward while playing game. For instance, one wants to jump up to other stages without completing previous ones. The cheats turn into helpful in this circumstance as the players do not get frustrated. By default, you're stuck with the skills you get at the start of the game, but with code-entry cheats, you can remove skills and switch them out for others, at as advanced a level as you please.

Instructions

    1

Right-click the "Dragon Age: Origins" game file within "My Computer" (by default, it's located within "C:\Program Files\Dragon Age"), and choose "Make Shortcut."

    2

Right-click the shortcut, and choose "Properties."

    3

Click the right end of the "Target" field, press "Space" and type "-enabledeveloperconsole" to add the console to the game.

    4

Right-click the file "KeyBindings.ini" within the "Settings" folder of your "Dragon Age" directory.

    5

Choose "Open With...," and click "Notepad."

    6

Scroll down to the entry marked "OpenConsole_0," and after the "=" symbol, type "Keyboard::Button_".

    7

Close the window, and click "Save" to add your changes.

    8

Launch "Dragon Age: Origins" from your computer's desktop or "Start" menu.

    9

Click "Load" or "New Game" at the title screen to bring up your game or start a new game.

    10

Press "" during gameplay to access the console.

    11

Type "runscript addtalent" and the code for the skill you wish to add, ending in the level (1 to 4) you wish the skill to start at. Add "10002" (where "" is your starting level) for Stealing, "10004" for Trap-Making, "10005" for Survival, "10006" for Herbalism, "10007" for Poison-Making, "10010" for Combat Training, "10011" for Combat Tactics or "10001" for Coercion. To add a level four mastery of the Survival skill, for instance, type "runscript addtalent 100054."

    12

Press "Enter" to apply your new skill.

    13

Remove skills by typing "runscript removetalent", entering the code for the skill you wish to remove (making sure to add the level at which your character currently knows that skill) and pressing "Enter." If your character has a third-level mastery of the Trap-Making skill, for instance, type "runscript removetalent 100043", and press "Enter." You can never have more than six skills, so remove a skill for every one you add, even if it's just to swap out a lower-level skill for a higher one.

    14

Press "" to close the console and return to play with your altered skills instantly activated.
