"Starfleet Command Volume II: Empires at War," like its predecessor, allows you to command a single ship, or a small fleet of ships, and battle against the forces of rival empires. The latest games are not just base of entertainment, quite these will need some abilities to play and win. The computer produced enemies fight against the gamers and conquering them is a big deal. The gaming companies produce games cheat parts to the players so that they may thrash the harmful enemies. These cheats are quite simply the codes that are used for allowing a slip to the computer so that the player could win the game. These allow the gamers in accelerating to the next stage by just pressing a few keys. Cheat codes are attainable with all kinds of games. Nonetheless, it is advised not to use them very quite often or else one can loose the pleasure once playing for sometime. These can be used when a software reasons problems in computer or freezes it. In some scenarios, the developers on their own deliver the codes so that the players could be unveiled to the next levels of the game. Not every individual will recognize that games cheat methods are the right things to be used while playing games. They think about cheating as a dreadful trait and as a result cheat codes should not be used. However, these come to be very helpful when the gamer is not becoming any hint how to go ahead while playing game. For case, one wants to jump up to other levels without completing previous ones. The cheats grow to be very helpful in this circumstance as the players do not get irritated. As you progress through the game, you use prestige points to acquire more and better ships and keep them supplied. If you are having a hard time, there is a cheat you can use to ensure that you always have enough prestige points to keep your ships in top condition, and even a cheat you can use to make your ships more powerful.

Starting Prestige Cheat

The Starting Prestige cheat allows you to determine the number of prestige points you start your game with. Ordinarily, this value is only 50 prestige points, a sum only large enough to restock your ship's supplies or repair its hull. To change this value, open your Starfleet Command II directory and navigate to MetaAssets/ServerProfiles/SinglePlayer. Find the file labeled "Character," make a backup copy if you like, and open it using NotePad or WordPad.

Now find the line that reads "StartingPrestige=50" and change the value "50" to any number up to "5000000," a sum large enough to purchase a fleet of dreadnoughts and keep them repaired and fully supplied throughout the course of your entire campaign.

Ship Attributes Cheat

Using this cheat you can modify the attributes of any ship in the game. To take advantage of it, go to your Starfleet Command II directory and navigate to Assets/Spec then find the file "Shiplist" and make a backup copy of the file. You can then open the file, using a spreadsheet program, such as Microsoft Excel, or a text editing program, such as WordPad or NotePad.

From this file you can alter almost any attribute of every ship, including hull strength, shield strength, weapons, acceleration, appearance and even the sizes of the ships' shuttle bays and boarding parties.

Hints

There are three elements that you need to be constantly aware of when you play Empires at War: positioning, timing and power management.

Positioning is vital as you make passes at your enemy. You always want to approach your enemy's weakest shield as you attack, and only present your strongest shield to the enemy, thus maximizing the damage dealt to your opponent while minimizing your opponent's ability to damage you.

Timing is essential in knowing when to attack. Fire your plasma torpedoes too soon and they may do very little damage by the time they reach your opponent. Engage your cloaking device too late and your opponent may be able to unleash a crippling attack when you don't have the full benefit of the cloak's damage reduction. Understand the rules of your faction's weapons so that you can use them to their greatest potentials. For instance, if you are playing as a Romulan, know how long it takes for your cloaking device to turn on and off and also understand at what ranges your plasma torpedoes are most effective.

All of your ship's systems, including weapons, shields, engines and even tractor beams, draw power from the same source, forcing you to prioritize certain systems as battles progress. Knowing this, don't rush in at the beginning of a battle to face your opponent. Instead, give your weapons time to charge and buffer your shields with leftover energy, and only then move to engage your foe. As the battle unfolds, only divert as much power to your engines as you need in order to maintain maneuverability, giving as much power as possible to shields and weapons.
