Lords of Magic is a turn-based strategy game that focuses on magic and conquering ancient fantasy realms. It was originally released in 1993 but is still a popular game with many fans. The game is complex with many options and goals of which it can be difficult to keep track. Up-to-date games are not simply reference of entertainment, quite these need some knowledge to play and win. The computer generated enemies fight against the gamers and defeating them is a big deal. The gaming companies offer games cheat systems to the players so that they could thrash the frightening enemies. These cheats are essentially the codes that are used for offering a slip to the computer so that the player could win the game. These support the gamers in moving on to the next level by just pressing a few keys. Cheat codes are offered with all types of games. Nevertheless, it is advised not to use them very quite often otherwise one can loose the pleasure once playing for sometime. These can be used when a software reasons troubles in computer or freezes it. In some scenarios, the developers themselves supply the codes so that the players could be launched to the next stages of the game. Not every person will agree that games cheat techniques are the right things to be used while playing games. They look at cheating as a horrific trait and as a result cheat codes should not be used. However, these turn into very helpful when the gamer is not getting any clue how to go forward while playing game. For case, one wants to jump up to other levels without filling out previous ones. The cheats grow to be helpful in this circumstance as the players do not get frustrated. Understanding these concepts can make your game much more successful.
What are the Basic Terms in Lords of Magic?
Many basic terms need to be understood before playing. Your basic fighting unit is the army. These can have nine units and three champions. As long as you can pay for armies, you can have as many as you want. Autocalculate will simulate your battles and should only be used against weaker enemies as it is done statistically. Barracks are where you can recruit melee units or ships. Champions are powerful fighters (warriors, mage or thieves) that lead your army. Cities help you make money and recruit units. Capturing more increases your resources. Great temples are necessary to summon creatures who can cast spells and fight for you. Libraries help your mages learn new spells while the Mages tower recruits magical units. Strongholds help you gain new followers. The thieves guild helps you recruit more thieves. Liberating means you defeat the people holding something you want and gain possession of it and its resources.
Which Lord Should I Chose?
The Lord is your avatar in the game. He represents the character that directly controls your units. His survival is vital to the game. If your Lord dies, the game is immediately over. Each Lord has many powers, advantages and disadvantages. The Warrior Lord is good at combat with swords and metal weapons. He has strong armor and bonuses in all combat fields. However, he is weak in magic. His special power is the ability to train warriors at the barracks. The Warrior Lord is an excellent choice for beginners. The Mage Lord is the only Lord that can use magic without special artifacts. He can train units at the mage tower to create a powerful magic army. He starts out weak (but gets stronger as the game progresses), which makes him an excellent lord for advanced players. The Thief Lord is sneaky. He has mediocre strength and magic but can subdue champions (something difficult for the Warrior or Mage Lord) interrogate prisoners, steal from units and open locked doors. The Thief Lord is difficult to master, but once mastered he is a powerful lord for guerrilla-style warfare.
Which Faith Should I Choose?
Besides your Lord, you must also choose your faith. There are eight faiths in the game. The right faith can help balance any deficit in your Lord's power. The life faith has powerful archers with strong armor. A life Lord can heal others and bring soldiers back to life. However, he will be weaker in hand to hand combat. A death Lord is powerful in combat, archery and magic. He can raise the dead to create a huge zombie army. Javelin throwers in a death army are strong. An Order Lord is able to create powerful fighters, infantry and wizards, making him an ideal choice for beginners. However, a Faith Lord will only be able to make mediocre archers. A Chaos Lord can create barbarians with luck based magic that does powerful damage. However, magic that doesn't land can backfire and hurt the spell caster. The Chaos Lord has strong warriors who wear no armor. He also creates poor long-range attackers. The army of the Air Lord is made out of fairies and storm wizards. The Air Lord army is fast and filled with strong archers. However, his infantry is weak. Luckily, he can control air and lightning magic, which makes him a powerful magic user. An Earth Lord wears strong armor, uses powerful axes and has spells that halt units for a long period of time. His army consists of excellent fighters but weak archers. The Water Lord has an army that consists entirely of women. His infantry is decent, but with poor armor. His archers are only average. His water-based magic can rust armor. He also has more income than other faiths. A Fire Lord has an army with poor archers and bad thieves. His infantry is poor and his magic only above average. A Fire Lord should only be used by the most talented players.
What Are The Resources?
There are four resources you must use to operate your empire. Ale is gained by liberating brewery. You will receive some ale every day while you possess one. Its used to recruit melee units (who apparently work for booze). Crystals must be mined for magical purposes and help you buy potions and recruit mages. Liberating temples helps you receive fame. With more fame, comes more followers, giving you more access to people to run your empire. Gold must be mined from a liberated gold mine. Gold helps you purchase ranged units.
