How to Create Maps in "Total War"

"Total War" is a gaming series distributed by Sega (Sega.com) and created by the Creative Assembly (Creative-Assembly.co.uk). You become a country's leader and must fight battles to takeover enemy players' lands. You command armies on a battlefield through a variety of maps. You can customize your maps by accessing a hidden feature. Enabling this option requires a bit of file alteration.

Instructions

Locate the game executable file on your hard drive. It should be under the "Programs" folder in "Microsoft Windows." You are looking for the file that starts the game.

Click the right button on your mouse and open the "Properties" box.

Locate the target box, which will say "medieval2.exe." Insert a space at the end of the box and type the following: "--features.editor". The box should now read "medieval2.exe --features.editor". Modern games are not mere base of entertainment, somewhat these will need some abilities to play and win. The computer created enemies fight against the gamers and eliminating them is a big deal. The gaming companies produce games cheat parts to the players so that they could thrash the threatening enemies. These cheats are essentially the codes that are used for supplying a slip to the computer so that the player could win the game. These support the gamers in moving on to the next level by just pressing a few keys. Cheat codes are attainable with all types of games. However, it is advised not to use them very often otherwise one can loose the enjoyment after playing for sometime. These can be used when a software factors complications in computer or freezes it. In some situations, the developers on their own offer the codes so that the players could be introduced to the next stages of the game. Not every person will recognize that games cheat methods are the right things to be used while playing games. They consider cheating as a nasty trait and consequently cheat codes should not be used. However, these turn into very helpful when the gamer is not becoming any idea how to go forward while playing game. For instance, one wants to jump up to other stages without filling out previous ones. The cheats turn into useful in this case as the players do not get disappointed. The battle editor will now activate when you load the game.

Launch the game and scroll down to the button labeled "Options" on the "Start" menu. You should see the "Battle Editor" at the very bottom. Click on the "Battle Editor" to open the program.

Pick the warriors for your battle scene. Choose the location of your battle on the main world map. Choose the victory conditions for the battle and what sides will take part.

Change the file name from "medieval2.exe --features.editor" back to "medieval2.exe" when you are done using the "Battle Editor" to prevent corruption of the file.
