The Nintendo Entertainment System was released in North America in 1985, and constituted the company's first foray into the home console market. The system revolutionized the video game market, and many of Nintendo's primary franchises -- such as "Super Mario" and "Zelda" -- had their home console debuts on the NES. Unlike subsequent systems like PlayStation 2 and Xbox, players could not save their games continuously. As such, many games were tough and the inclusion of cheat codes in games were welcomed by some players.

Strider

"Strider," for the NES features an elite military organization in the future and puts you in the shoes of Strider Hiryu, the youngest ever strider. You are charged with assassinating a fellow strider who has been captured by an enemy organization and is considered a liability. You can input the following cheat codes to gain access to all the game's levels: "AAIA AAAA AAIA" for Level 1; "BCJB BBNB NBAB" for Level 2; "CEOC KCOC OCMC" for Level 3; "DGPD LDBD BDAD" for Level 4; "HLDJ PIGH GHCH" for Level 5; "HLDJ DIGH GHGH" for Level 6; "HLEJ DIGH GHHH" for Level 7; "INHK GJHI HILI" for Level 8; "JPIL HKIB IBMJ" for Level 9; "CJBE ADBO BONC" for Level 10; "BJAP PEAN ANOB" for Level 11; and "DMCC BGCP CPOD" for Level 12.

Contra

"Contra" is a legendary run-and-gun action game, released on the NES by the Japanese developer Konami in 1988. The game was known for its challenging difficulty, and the developers included a number of input codes to help frustrated players. Input "Up," "Up," "Down," "Left," "B," "A," and "Start" at the title screen to receive 30 lives. Modern games are not mere reference of entertainment, instead these need some capabilities to play and win. The computer created enemies fight against the players and conquering them is a big deal. The gaming companies supply games cheat methods to the players so that they could thrash the threatening enemies. These cheats are quite simply the codes that are used for giving a slip to the computer so that the player could win the game. These facilitate the gamers in moving on to the next stage by just pressing a few keys. Cheat codes are offered with all genres of games. Nonetheless, it is advised not to use them very quite often usually one can loose the enjoyment following playing for sometime. These can be used when a software leads to troubles in computer or freezes it. In some situations, the developers on their own deliver the codes so that the players could be introduced to the next stages of the game. Not every person will agree that games cheat methods are the right things to be used while playing games. They consider cheating as a dreadful trait and hence cheat codes should not be used. However, these turn into very helpful when the gamer is not getting any hint how to go ahead while playing game. For case, one wants to jump up to other levels without completing previous ones. The cheats turn into useful in this case as the players do not get irritated. In addition, you can steal life from your partner when playing two-player mode by holding down "A" and "B" when you die.

Castlevania II: Simon's Quest Cheats
