Action Replay Xbox is a cartridge that allows players to download cheats off the Internet and use them while playing games with the console. While the cartridge is designed to interface with Microsoft Windows computers, updating to the latest version of the Action Replay software and drivers is necessary before the device can be used with Microsoft Windows Vista. This is a simple procedure.
Instructions

Insert the Action Replay Xbox install CD into the CD drive of your computer.
2Open \"My Computer\" and navigate to your CD drive. Right-click on the file \"Setup.exe\" and select \"Run as administrator,\" then follow the onscreen prompts to install the software.
3Download the Action Replay Xbox software update (see Resources) and unzip the file to your desktop.
4Right-click the unzipped file and select \"Run as administrator.\" Follow the onscreen prompts to update your Action Replay Xbox software.
5Return to the desktop and right-click \"My Computer.\" Select \"Properties\" then click \"Device Manager.\"
6Click the \"+\" icon next to the text \"USB Serial Bus Controllers,\" then plug the Action Replay Xbox device into your computer. The device will be added to the onscreen list as \"Datel Max Memory\" or \"Action Replay Xbox.\"
7Right-click on the entry for your Action Replay Xbox device and select \"Properties.\" Open the \"Driver\" tab and select \"Update Driver.\" Windows will ask if you want to connect to the Internet to search for drivers; select \"No, not this time.\"
8Click \"Install the driver from a list or specific location,\" then \"Have disc.\"
9Click \"Browse\" and navigate to the following directory: \"C:\\Program Files\\Datel\\Action Replay Xbox\\Drivers.\"
10Select the file \"xbreader.inf\" and click \"OK.\"
11Click \"Next,\" then wait for the driver software to update. When the \"Finish\" button appears, click this button to close the window. Your Xbox Action Replay is now ready for use in Windows Vista.
