Stronghold: Crusader is a real-time strategy (RTS) game released for Windows PCs in 2002. It is set in the Middle East during the Crusades era. The game has a cheat mode that players can enable to allow codes to be entered. There are also two glitches that can be exploited to make the game easier.
Cheat Mode Code
The cheat mode for Stronghold: Crusader is activated on the main menu. Hold down the Ctrl key and enter TRIBLADE2002. There is no audio or visual clue to indicate whether you successfully entered the command. If it was entered correctly, you will be able to enter codes during normal game play.
Game-Play Codes
The game has three codes to modify game play. Pressing Ctrl + C will unlock all of the missions in the game. Pressing Ctrl + X will set your popularity rating to the maximum value of 100. This will give the highest possible population growth rate. Pressing Ctrl + K will remove the resource requirements for building structures, which will make the game much easier. Typically, building defenses is a huge drain on the players resources. This removes that drain and lets you earn extra gold by selling the resources normally used for buildings.
Archer Glitch
Archers are typically the main defense unit in Stronghold: Crusader. These units will eliminate a large percentage of attacking troops before any get in range to do damage. Placing archers in towers boosts the effectiveness of these units. Normally, the game only allows you to place a small number of archers in each tower. A glitch allows you to cheat by placing any number of archers in a tower. Gather a group of archers on one side of a tower. Give the group the order to go to the opposite side of the tower. The archers will walk through the tower. Press the stop button while the archers are in the tower. The archers will count as being in the tower, even if the tower is already full.
Pause Glitch
Time is a valuable resource in any real-time strategy game. Modern games are not mere source of entertainment, instead these involve some skills to play and win.
