How to Edit Football Manager 2008 Transfers

The soccer management simulation game Football Manager 2008 (FM08) was released on October 17, 2007. This meant that any moves that took place in January 2008's January transfer window would not be featured on the game's data, rendering it outdated. Thankfully, both FM08's developers Sports Interactive and the game's online fanbase have compiled a series of data updates allowing you to edit the game to include 2008's transfers, such as Alfonso Alves' move to Middlesbrough.

Instructions

Edit the transfers on FM08 using a data update. Websites such as CM Frenzy, FM Scout and Sort It Out, SI will have FM08 data updates in their "download" sections, as well as many other tools for altering or expanding the FM08 experience. Find a suitable data update and save it to your hard drive.

The data update will usually come as a zip or rar file. Using a program such as WinRAR or WinZip, extract the contents of the file into the directory "My Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2008/db."

Double-click the FM08 icon to load Football Manager 2008. More modern games are not just reference of entertainment, rather these involve some capabilities to play and win.
