"Spider-Man 2" is a game for the original Xbox video game console (as well as the PlayStation 2 and GameCube) where you can play as Peter Parker, Spider-Man himself, as you battle some of the most famous villains in the "Spider-Man" mythos, such as the Vulture and Dr. Octopus. Instead of using standard levels like most games, "Spider-Man 2" allows players to swing around an enormous virtual New York looking for challenges and foes. There are some cheats to make things easier for you as well as numerous unlockables as rewards for your hard work throughout the game.
Unlock Movie Theater
The Movie Theater allows you to view various FMV videos from the game, including the credits, some demo videos and the opening developer logos. It can be unlocked by first completing the game all through "Chapter 15" and letting the credits roll, prompting the start of "Chapter 16." Now, you'll be able to purchase the Movie Theater from the Upgrade Store for 1,000 Hero Points, which can be earned by completing challenges and races throughout the virtual New York. Once you buy the upgrade, open your map of New York and look for the small projector icon; this is the Viceroy Cinema 8 location. Head there and select the Change icon in front of the theater to watch any of the aforementioned videos.
Unlock Fighting Arena
The Fighting Arena allows you to battle the thugs and various bosses throughout the game, either to hone your skills or to achieve record times. It can be unlocked by completing the game through "Chapter 15," letting the credits roll, and then waiting for the "Chapter 16" prompt to pop up. With that done, head over to the Upgrade Store and purchase the Fighting Arena upgrade, which costs 5,000 Hero Points. With the upgrade purchased, head to the Shocker Warehouse in the Lower East Side; this is where you first encountered the villain Shocker in the game's story mode. Go to the main room in the warehouse and access the Fighting Arena marker, which will grant you access to the arena.
Master Code
This cheat will allow you to skip the first 40 percent of the game's story mode, as well as give you 201,000 Hero Points, Swing Speed and Web Zip upgrades, and four ranks. To access it, start a new game and name the game file "HCRAYERT." This is "Treyarch," the name of the developer, spelled backward.
