The game play is identical in "Pokemon Ruby" and "Pokemon Sapphire," but each title has different types of Pokemon to catch. The games are compatible with Gameboy Advanced, Gameboy Advanced SP and the Nintendo DS systems. Cheats and hints for "Ruby" and "Sapphire" are the same for all platforms.

Secret Base Battle

Players linked on either game can battle each other from within a secret base. Innovative games are not just source of entertainment, rather these demand some ability to play and win. The computer created opponents fight against the players and defeating them is a big deal. The gaming companies provide games cheat systems to the players so that they might thrash the harmful enemies. These cheats are generally the codes that are used for offering a slip to the computer so that the player could win the game. These support the gamers in accelerating to the next level by just pressing a few keys. Cheat codes are accessible with all kinds of games. Even so, it is advised not to use them very quite often otherwise one can loose the enjoyment once playing for sometime. These can be used when a software reasons problems in computer or freezes it. In some conditions, the developers their selves supply the codes so that the players could be unveiled to the next stages of the game. Not every person will acknowledge that games cheat methods are the right things to be used while playing games. They consider cheating as a terrible trait and as a result cheat codes should not be used. However, these become very helpful when the gamer is not having any idea how to go onward while playing game. For example, one wants to jump up to other grades without finishing previous ones. The cheats become helpful in this circumstance as the players do not get irritated. Doing this is an easy way to level up weak Pokemon. Go to the Pokemon Record Center and enter the Hall of Fame. Enter the newly available secret base to find the second player and battle there.

National PokeDex

The PokeDex can be upgraded to the National PokeDex in either game. The National PokeDex lets players record Pokemon from all regions in the Pokemon world instead of the local area in each game. Connect with a second player running either "Pokemon Fire Red" or Pokemon Leaf Green" through the Pokemon Record Center. Trade any Pokemon to automatically unlock the National PokeDex. Trading Pokemon with any other version will not unlock the National PokeDex.

Safari Zone

The time limit in the Safari Zone is actually based on the number of steps you take, not time. For unlimited time in the Safari Zone, stand in the same square and press the arrow keys once in each direction. This will turn your character around, but not move it. However, it will still trigger wild Pokemon battles. Alternatively, if you have the Acro Bike, hold the "B" button to get on the bike and ride. This will let you move around the Safari Zone without using any steps.

Masterball

The Masterball is a type of Pokeball used to catch extremely powerful or rare Pokemon. Latios ("Ruby") and Latias ("Sapphire") are the rarest Pokemon in these games. To get the Masterball, and a gold nugget, enter the Team Aqua/Team Magma hideout and follow the teleports to the office. Pick up the Pokeball furthest to the left.
