As online PC gaming becomes more popular, it inevitably becomes more competitive; games like the "Halo" series, therefore, have seen the community develop widely accessible programs that alter the game's mechanisms to provide players with a competitive advantage. OCG (Open Gaming Content) Aimbots are user-made programs that provide varying degrees of auto-aim: a function that guides the aiming reticule to enemy targets with minimal user input.
Finding an Aimbot Program
Aimbots are small programs that run simultaneously alongside their paired game, which is "Halo" in this case. Aimbot programs are Open Gaming Content (OCG), and can thus be created and modified by independent users and shared online. Specific modules and parameters have been released as predetermined Aimbots, and they are available in various locations. They are most often posted on forums relating to "Halo" online play. Installing an Aimbot Module
Once an Aimbot program has been downloaded to your hard drive, running the program will initiate the setup. More modern games are not simple reference of entertainment, quite these demand some ability to play and win. The computer developed enemies fight against the gamers and defeating them is a big deal. The gaming companies provide games cheat systems to the players so that they could thrash the violent enemies. These cheats are essentially the codes that are used for offering a slip to the computer so that the player could win the game. Enabling Autofire when a target is acquired
Quickly scanning the user's view to acquire a target
Tracking and automatically firing to effect on specifically colored targets (usually employed in team-based play)
Adjusting the scanning range (to determine the maximum distance at which the Aimbot will acquire and fire upon a target)
Public Opinion
Aimbots give players a major advantage in online competitive matches, are viewed by some as cheating and are banned from tournament play. Though they are fairly common on Halo's public servers, there are still communities that explicitly ban their use.
